What is the SKOTH Pod?
Short Kings of the Hill (or SKOTH) is a watchthrough podcast discussing King of the Hill episode-by-episode, brought to you by two 20-something queer dorks living in the midwest. We aim to give a fresh take on late 90's/00's animated sitcom, taking modern nuances into account and aknowledging pitfalls without being blinded by nostalgia. At the same time, we both grew up with the pop culture surrounding this show, and see our rural childhoods reflected within it! We have a deep appreciation for King of the Hill, and are incredibly excited to jump into it with you all. Whether you're a veteran of the series or watching it for the first time, we hope you enjoy our friendly, book-club-like approach.
About the Short Kings
Ethan is pretty much your average fat, queer midwestern dude. Outside of SKOTH, he enjoys his job of teaching music in rural Missouri, alongside amature endeavors in art, writing, coding, and designing/playing tabletop role-playing-games. He describes himself as a "Jack of all Trades, Master of None." He also has a lifelong interest in animation of all kinds. It was Ethan's idea to start the SKOTH podcast, after catching reruns of King of the Hill on adult swim at his parents' house. His favorite characters are Dale Gribble and Bobby Hill.
